Are you a creative all-rounder? Do you have experience, or want to gain experience, organizing activities for young people aged 12 to 18? Do you want to share your passion with them? Would you like to organize workshops for our young people regularly during school hours?

About us
- Project De Kaai is one of the external school organizations recognized as a NAFT provider and is part of Ruyskensveld vzw. A seamless flexible pathway (NAFT) aims to prevent dropouts and early school leaving in secondary education.
- Target group: young people aged 12 and over who are enrolled in a secondary school in the Aalst district.
- In addition to the NAFT programmes, De Kaai also welcomes young people who are (temporarily) staying in (internal) living groups in special youth care.
Desired profile
- You are enthusiastic about working with young people between the ages of 12 and 18
- You can inspire and motivate a group of young people
- You are communicative
- You handle the information that young people share with you discreetly
- You are creative. You can adjust your studio where necessary.
- You are willing to prepare workshops at home.
- You are willing to make this commitment for the long term. The frequency is negotiable (weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc.).
Our offer
- Introductory meeting on campus
- Space and materials to provide all kinds of workshops
- Necessary guidance. You will be assisted at all times by a member of the De Kaai team. This member is responsible for supervising the young people.
- We adapt the size of the group to your needs
- Volunteer agreement and necessary insurances
- Commuting (0,10 euro/km, max. 30 km from campus; contribution to public transport ticket)
- Mileage allowance for transport on request with your own car or the option to use a company car for this transport
- Invitations to meetings with other volunteers, to events on campus or for the entire organization, to training sessions
