In Turkey works 11.11.11 together with partner organisations to better protect Syrians on the run. We strengthen local partners, provide emergency assistance in crisis situations, and conduct research and joint policy work. Together we amplify the voices of the most vulnerable and ensure that they are actively involved in decision-making that determines their future.

Together with our partners we focus on:

In 2024, we launched Force4Refugees. Six Turkish organisations were tasked with mapping their needs and challenges and developing a plan around them. They then received direct funding to put their plans into practice: from offering direct assistance to people on the run, to conducting research and strengthening small-scale initiatives through training. The knowledge gained forms the backbone for the next phase: joint policy work at national and international level, with a special focus on the UN Refugee Agency. UNHCRIn this way we ensure that refugees play an active and central role in decision-making about their own future.

11.11.11 is ready to intervene when the need is greatest. After the devastating earthquakes of February 6, 2023, we made sure that our partner olive branch immediate emergency relief. Thanks to this support, Olive Branch was able to set up field kitchens and distribute tents, blankets and hygiene products in the affected areas.

From 2022 to 2024, we implemented the “Digital Space for Civic Space” project in southern Turkey together with partner organizations. This project included three major components: regular digital surveys to map the needs of Syrian refugees, training 15 smaller Syrian organizations, and joint research and policy work.

11.11.11 also works closely with the digital platform Upinion in Turkey. Together with them, and with the active input of other partner organizations, we regularly conduct surveys on the situation of Syrian refugees in the country.
