Paid internships at the Archive for Education (BIS contract)
Just got your diploma and want to gain experience with an application that is essential in education? Or do you want to reorient yourself? The Archive for Education We're making audiovisual archive material available to teachers, teacher training students, and primary and secondary school students. There's a lot to learn behind the scenes!
Would you like to spend six months working on our educational platform? We have two interesting internship programs on offer. Sharpen your skills editing skills by preparing audio and video clips for the class, or learn the tricks of the trade marketing and communications profession learn!
Option 1) Internship at the editorial office of The Archive for Education
What are you going to do? At our education editorial office:
- use your passion for education and current affairs to textually enrich and edit audiovisual fragments, etc. to make heritage usable in the classroom.
- are you jointly responsible for the further expansion of our offer audiovisual material, and provide it with the correct context. This way, the films and sound fragments remain in our image bank easy to find for teachers and students.
- find out everything about metadata and you step out of our office as a accomplished proofreader.
- may you watch professional tv and select your teacher materials. With the 'Cleared out' collections bring current events to class every week and learn clearly explain current topics tailored to students in the first and second grades of secondary education.
Option 2) Marketing and Communications Internship at The Archive for Education
What are you going to do? Specifically:
- you will learn a lot in a short period of time about the different aspects of marketing and communication, and taste a wide range of tasks. Think of copywriting, editing and web publishing, but also Google Advertising (SEA), creating newsletters and drawing up social media and communication plans. In addition, you think about user communication.
- give direction to our social media and figure out what content works and how we can better use our channels and resources.
- put your flawless knowledge of the Dutch in and put your precious practical experience for example by writing clear news reports and original Facebook posts.
- get you deadlines with ease and ring the bell in time if you have any questions.
- help us to figures and reports to convert into concrete actions, posts, campaigns and optimizations.
- do you also use your strengths to support your colleagues in various assignments within general marketing and communications activities, such as workshops and stands at trade fairs.
- are you making visually appealing pages, posts, gifs, screencasts and content together with the team, and brush up on your graphic skills.
Desired profile
You:
- can present at least a professional or academic bachelor's degree and have an affinity with education, media, culture or heritage. Have you completed a teacher training course? Then you have a head start.
- enjoys learning and likes to keep up to date with current events.
- can fluently write texts and put commas correctly in your sleep.
- have an eye for detail, are accurate and always work proactively and in an organized manner.
- You will receive extra points for the communications internship if you know how to find the right buttons in Canva, already know your way around a CMS or email marketing tool, or have already put together a video.

- In addition to your internship allowance, which is legally set and currently amounts to 1.056 euros per month, you will also receive fringe benefits and reimbursement for your travel expenses.
[1] BIS stands for Professional Experience Internship and offers the opportunity for candidates to
to do a paid internship in a company. A vocational immersion agreement is not an employment contract, but a training contract in which skills and competences are learned on the work floor. In this way, an intern with a BIS contract can
gain relevant practical experience that enables him, her or them to position themselves better on the labor market.
