Caritas International Belgium

Caritas International Belgium supports victims of violence, natural disasters and poverty, in their own country or on the run, in cooperation with its local, national and international networks. Caritas carries out its mission regardless of race, nationality, gender, political, religious or philosophical conviction.

Caritas International helps the most vulnerable and guides them in their search for sustainable solutions. In crisis situations, Caritas International Belgium and its partners offer effective aid. Caritas also implements rehabilitation and development projects to offer people the opportunity to take their lives and future into their own hands.

Caritas supports refugees and defends the right of migrants to material, social and legal aid, both in Belgium and in their country of origin. Caritas takes action against unjust situations and dysfunction that its employees witness and also participates in the debate with a view to improving the policy in the field of combating poverty and in the field of reception, asylum and migration. Based on its expertise, it addresses both politicians and the general public.
