Our passionate team makes a significant impact on communities worldwide. We are seeking a dedicated Office Manager to join the APOPO team.

About the role

As the APOPO representative in Belgium, you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our registered office. Beyond managing day-to-day office activities and administration, you provide essential HR support, such as supporting with recruitment, maintaining HR databases… Occasionally, you handle logistical matters such as overseeing international flights, and order placements for our programs. In addition, you serve as the key liaison with our Board of Directors and General Assembly, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Your role also involves a bit of communication and fundraising within our region.

The role is part-time and based at the APOPO office in Antwerp, Belgium. In this position, you ensure efficient workflow, statutory compliance, and effective communication both internally and externally. We seek a versatile individual for this multifaceted position, which is essential in driving APOPO’s mission forward.

Gewenst profiel

You are:

  • Enthusiastic and purpose-driven.
  • In possession of at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with additional qualifications in HR management or administration being advantageous.
  • Experienced in the non-profit sector and have a high level of cultural sensitivity.
  • Experienced in office management, HR, legal document processing, and experienced in working with boards is an advantage.
  • Versatile, stress-resistant, highly organized, with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in both English and Dutch.
  • Integer and discreet when handling sensitive information.
  • Ideally reside within commuting distance of Antwerp.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with confidence in virtual meeting settings.
