SKM Rhein-Sieg and its staff help people affected by poverty, exclusion and social disadvantage, regardless of religion, origin or sexual identity. 

Over 500 volunteers and more than 100 full-time employees are committed to a social and democratic society at our organization.

For the outpatient homeless services department within the "Don Bosco House Support Network", we are immediately seeking a dedicated and professionally convincing individual for a 50% position on a permanent basis as

Social worker (m/f/d) for the central specialist unit for the prevention of homelessness

Tasks

  • Advice and support for households threatened with homelessness due to termination of tenancy or eviction proceedings.
  • Sound knowledge in the area of housing and livelihood security
  • Rental coaching with the affected households and, if necessary, referral to outpatient housing assistance or supported living in accordance with § 67 SGB XII.
  • Cooperation with various housing providers in the Rhein-Sieg district
  • Cooperation with municipalities, job centers and other authorities to preserve housing.
  • Collaboration with our housing acquisition team


 

Gewenst profiel

  • Completed studies in social work or a comparable degree
  • Extensive and well-founded experience in the operational field of homelessness services
  • Strong social and communication skills, as well as teamwork, openness, service and solution orientation.
  • High degree of independence, structured work style and reliability
  • Flexibility, resilience and the ability to set boundaries
  • Willingness and ability to actively support employees when needed
  • Solid knowledge of the common MS Office programs.
  • Driving licence class B and mobility
