About Selfless Solutions
At Selfless Solutions, we envision a future where all children and youth in Tanzania have access to quality education and economic opportunities, no matter their background. We work toward this future by designing and implementing innovative and scalable solutions that expand access to quality education and economic opportunities for Tanzanian children and youth. Our organization currently operates three programs: the Selfless Sponsor Program, the E-Shuleni Program, and a Volunteer & Internship Program.
What will you actually do?
As a Program Management Intern, you will support and assist Selfless Solutions’ program management team to improve and grow one or more ongoing projects. This program offers you the opportunity to participate hands-on in development work while gaining invaluable experience for your professional and personal growth.
While you will receive guidance and mentorship, you are expected to be self-motivated and proactive in identifying how to further the goals of our projects. Your responsibilities might include, but are not limited to:
1. Project Planning & Coordination
- Strategic planning: Assist in developing project plans, including schedules, scope, budget estimation, and risk mitigation.
- Resource management: Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects stay on track with scope and budget.
- Monitoring: Support day‑to‑day monitoring of project progress and milestones.
2. Analysis & Adaptive Management
- Quality control: Establish and maintain processes for managing project quality and performance standards.
- Impact tracking: Ensure adequate data collection to track impact and facilitate continuous learning and improvement.
- Reporting: Analyze project status and assist in reporting outcomes and risks to management.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Relationship building: Maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status.
- Strategic growth: Collaborate with team members to conduct needs assessments and identify opportunities for project improvement.
- Documentation: Support the writing of reports and the documentation of key findings.
4. Shared Organizational Responsibilities
- Fundraising: Identify potential donors and support fundraising efforts, such as campaigns and events (a shared responsibility among all staff).

- Background: Interest or background in Project Management, International Development, Business, Social Sciences, or related fields.

Please note that we require our volunteers and interns to complete certain training prior to their arrival. Participants will not be able to work until first completing all assigned training. We look for committed individuals who share our values of dedication and professional development
