Internship: shaping the water & climate agenda

Omschrijving van de vacature

Join For Water is an international NGO working to guarantee the right to water today and for future generations by ensuring access to water and sustainably managing water resources. Join For Water places advocacy at the heart of its mission to guarantee the right to water for present and future generations. By connecting local actions with global impact, the organisation seeks to influence policy, mobilise stakeholders, and strengthen the voice of civil society in water resource management.

The global climate agenda (Paris Agreement, COP processes, NDCs, NAPs) serves as the central framework for Join For Water’s advocacy efforts. Given that climate change has a direct impact on water resources, water security is recognized as a vital aspect of climate adaptation and resilience.

At the local level, we run pilot projects that generate valuable lessons and evidence to inform advocacy at higher scales. At the national level, we want to focus on influencing regulatory frameworks, shaping implementation mechanisms, and setting the political agenda within the climate context. On the international stage, Join For Water aims to ensure that water remains a key priority in global climate discussions by partnering with civil society coalitions and engaging in forums such as COP.
