The Department of Clinical Sciences at ITM is looking for a motivated and well-organized Education Coordination Support to help shape and drive the future of our educational programs. You will play a key role in the coordination and ongoing improvement of our diverse and dynamic education portfolio — from the renowned Master of Science in Tropical Medicine (MTM) and cutting-edge short courses (such as eSCREM and SCREM), to exciting new initiatives. Join us in making a lasting impact on global health through education!
Your role:
- Educational programme support: responsible for the daily operation of the MTM programme and department short courses/education initiatives.
- Student supervision: guide MTM students during their research trajectory—protocol development, ethical approval, data management —in collaboration with thesis supervisors and academic staff.
- Curriculum development & Quality assurance: contribute to the design and continuous improvement of new and existing short courses and MTM components. Support the implementation of programme evaluations, audits, and accreditation processes (e.g., tropEd, RIZIV).
- Seminar & meeting organization: facilitate educational events, steering group meetings, and academic workshops.
- Staff & innovation support: promote learner-centered teaching, provide support in the use of educational technology, and contribute to lecturer professionalization.
- Institutional engagement: represent MTM in institutional bodies (e.g., DESC, Alliance meetings), support marketing efforts, and contribute to the alumni network and global collaborations.
- Research & capacity building: contribute to education-relevant departmental research or capacity-building initiatives.
Gewenst profiel
Your profile
- Master’s degree in medical or biomedical sciences, global/international health, education, or related field.
- Experience in higher education or academic programme coordination, preferably in a global health context.
- Familiarity with research processes and data management; having a first authored manuscript or having a PhD is an asset.
- Experience or strong interest in digital learning and educational innovation.
- Strong organizational, intercultural, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.

- A full-time position (part-time at minimum 80% can be discussed) with a permanent contract. Start date as soon as possible.
