communication officer (part-time, fixed-term contract)

Omschrijving van de vacature

We are looking for a part-time communication officer to promote the activities of argos in the fall of 2024. 

Your tasks: 

You write everything that needs to be written, from blurbs and posts to newsletters and press releases. You consult with the involved parties to craft your story. To do so, you work in close collaboration with the digital media collaborator and external freelancers. You support your colleagues of the Publics & Events team in their audience development and other initiatives. Together, you set the deadlines and deliverables to collect all materials in due time. You manage the website and the newsletters, and you’re responsible for editing both. You manage and maintain the press file and you make it a priority to keep channels open between journalists and team members. When possible, you keep an eye out for media sponsoring opportunities and promotional partnerships.

Gewenst profiel

● previous experience as a copywriter, journalist or editor 

● trilingual (EN/FR/NL) and excellent (copy)writing skills in at least two languages (EN and FR/NL) 

● familiar with key principles for inclusive language use 

● communicative, organised and flexible, and a sense of initiative and responsibility 

● experience and/or affinity with the artistic sector and the cultural institutions in Belgium 

● knowledge of the audiovisuals arts 

● video and image editing experience is an asset

● a part-time position (50%) and a fixed-term contract (asap to December) with a view to becoming permanent
