Welkom op onze denk- en doedag rond ecofeminisme en de Right to Say No tegen mijnbouw! 

Catapa streeft naar het recht om ‘nee’ te zeggen, the Right to Say No. Dit verwijst naar het onvervreemdbare, collectieve en fundamentele recht van een gemeenschap om Nee te zeggen tegen mijnbouwprojecten op het land waar ze van leven of afhankelijk van zijn.

We kunnen ons niet uit de klimaatcrisis ‘mijnen’. We kunnen niet overstappen op hernieuwbare energie en tegelijkertijd een destructief en onrechtvaardig economisch systeem in stand houden dat mensen, land en natuur schaadt, enkel en alleen uit winstbejag. ⛐

Daarom ondersteunt CATAPA actief gemeenschappen in hun Right to Say No en het recht om ja te zeggen op een andere manier van leven en omgaan met hun leefomgeving. We ijveren voor het recht op leven en het creëren van een toekomst die niet gebaseerd is op extractivisme, maar op wederkerige, wederzijds afhankelijke en zorgzame relaties van gemeenschappen met het land waarop ze leven en waarvan ze afhankelijk zijn.

Kom naar onze activiteit en leer meer over het onlosmakelijke verband tussen anti-extractivisme, ecofeminisme en klimaatverandering met sprekers die binnenkort bekendgemaakt worden .

Wat staat er op de planning?
- 13:30 - 14:00 Introductie en kennismaking
- 14:00 - 16.30 Lezingen over ecofeminisme en de mijnbouwproblematiek
- 16:30 - 17:00 Pauze
- 17:00 - 18:00 Samen bouwen aan onze Right to say No campagne (RTSN).
- 18:00 - 19:30 Samen eten (tegen vrije bijdrage - vegetarisch)
- 19:30 - 21:00 'Artivism': Workshop over creatief campagne voeren
- 21:00 en verder. Welkom om te blijven hangen voor een drankje!

Het evenement zal plaats vinden in het Engels. We kunnen vertaling naar het Nederlands voorzien. Wil je graag een Nederlandse vertaling? Stuur dan een mailtje naar truike.geerts@catapa.be. Bij andere vragen kan je ook zeker contact opnemen!

* De locatie is toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers.
* ‘s avonds wordt er eten voorzien. Als je allergieën of intoleranties hebt, laat ons iets weten.
* Het evenement vindt plaats in het Engels. Indien nodig kunnen wij voor vertolking naar het Nederlands en Spaans zorgen (stuur hiervoor een berichtje naar truike.geerts@catapa.be). Voor andere taalvoorstellen/vragen, mag je ons ook zeker contacteren.

Welcome to our day of thinking and working around ecofeminism and the Right to Say No to mining! 

Catapa strives for the right to say 'no', the Right to Say No, which refers to the inalienable, collective and fundamental right of a community to say No to mining projects on the land they live on or depend on.

We cannot 'mine' our way out of the climate crisis. We cannot switch to renewable energy while perpetuating a destructive and unjust economic system that harms people, land and nature just for the sake of profit. ⛐

Therefore, CATAPA actively supports communities in their Right to Say No and the right to say yes to a different way of living and interacting with their environment. We advocate for the right to life and the creation of a future based not on extractivism, but on reciprocal, mutually dependent and caring relationships of communities with the land they live on and depend on.

Come to our activity and learn more about the inextricable link between anti-extractivism, ecofeminism and climate change with speakers to be announced soon .
