Position in the organisation
During the initial period in this position, you will report to the current Global Director of HR. This initial overlap period is designed to ensure a smooth and effective handover. During this time, you will work closely together to facilitate a seamless transition into the next phase, when you will assume the responsibilities of the Global Director of HR. Once you take on this temporary replacement role, you will report directly to the General Director of VVOB.
You will be in the lead for the HR department in VVOB, managing the HR team (3 to 4 direct reports) at the Global Office. You will be part of the Global Leadership Team, which is responsible for overall organisational management, and the Global Operations Committee, which is responsible for designing and implementing global policies in organisational operations.
Result areas
- You develop, adjust and implement the global VVOB HR vision & strategy to support further organisational development.
- You develop, coordinate and improve global HR processes and policies while also leading and executing key HR processes at a global level.
- You lead strategic projects, driving the delivery of high-impact global HR priorities, including the rollout of a new global Compensation & Benefits policy.
- You keep abreast with policy trends, new developments and latest research and thinking in HRM, amongst others through building and maintaining an internal and external network and share new insights with partners and VVOB colleagues.
- You act as the first point of contact for the directors, managers, and HR-colleagues in different country offices on operational and strategic HR matters.
- You are a member of the Global Leadership Team (GLT) and are responsible for the managing the HR team.
Gewenst profiel
- You have a master’s degree in human resources or related field or equivalent experience.
- You have at least 8 years of experience in broad, generalist HR roles.
- You have management and leadership experience, with a track record of building effective teams and motivating diverse groups of professionals.
- You have strong, proven expertise and experience in organisational development and change management.
- You demonstrate strong project management capabilities and the ability to translate HR strategy into concrete, implementable solutions in a fast-changing global context.
- You have experience working in international and intercultural contexts; experience in the development sector or international organisations is an asset.
- You are proficient in English at CEFR level C1.
- You are authorised to work in Belgium.
