Bijeenkomst Reclaim the city/earth
Ben jij tussen de 18 en 30 jaar en heb je een hart voor de natuur én Brussel? 11.11.11 nodigt je uit voor een inspirerende bijeenkomst van ons project over natuur in de publieke ruimte, Reclaim the City/Earth. Samen met Brusselse jongeren willen we de schaarse plekken van groen in onze stad in de schijnwerpers zetten en de vraag stellen: waarom is er zo weinig natuur die wij als jongeren kunnen benutten?
Are you between 18 and 30 years old and do you love nature and the city of Brussels? 11.11.11 invites you for an inspiring gathering on Reclaim the City/Earth, our project about nature in public space. Together with youth in Brussels, we want to spotlight the few green spaces in the city and pose the question: why is there so little nature that we as young people can make use of?
In 2025 brengen we jongeren uit Brussel samen met jongeren uit Peru, Bolivia, Indonesië, de Democratische Republiek Congo en andere partnerlanden. Samen onderzoeken we hoe natuur beleefd wordt in stedelijke omgevingen wereldwijd. We leren van elkaar, wisselen ideeën uit en brengen die kennis naar Brussel, waar we creatieve acties opzetten om meer natuur toegankelijk te maken voor jongeren. Denk aan een internationale uitwisseling, een verdiepend rapport én een zichtbaar, impactvol project in onze stad.
In 2025, we bring together young people from Brussels with youth from Peru, Bolivia, Indonesia, Democratic Republic of the Congo and other partner countries. Together, we investigate how people from all over the world experience nature in urban environments. We learn from each other, exchange ideas and return this knowledge to Brussels, where we can set up creative actions to make nature more accessible for youth. You can see it as an international exchange, combined with an in-depth report and a visible, impactful project in our city.
Op dit moment loopt een enquête om de ervaringen en noden van jongeren rond toegang tot natuur in de stad in kaart te brengen. In deze bijeenkomst overlopen we met jou de resultaten van onze enquête. Wat valt ons op? Is er iets verrassends? Welke bevindingen moeten zeker in het rapport dat we delen met beleidsmakers en jeugdwerkorganisaties? Dat beslissen wij samen met jou! Heb je frisse ideeën of benieuwd naar de resultaten? Kom af!
At the moment, a survey is running to map the experiences and needs of youth about access to nature in the city. In this gathering, we discuss the results of our survey. What stands out? Is there anything surprising? Which findings must be included in the report that will be shared with policy makers and youth work organisations? We will decide all this together with you! Do you have any inventive ideas or are you curious about the results? Join us!
