Here in Burkina Faso we are changing the future of our children. And with that the future of the entire country. We have been struggling with security problems for more than ten years, which has left thousands of children insecure about their education.
Teach for Burkina Faso gives every child in the neighborhood the chance to go to school for the first time. With books, writing materials and teachers who are properly trained for it.
We are not there yet of course, but when I started Teach for Burkina Faso together with other teachers, there was hardly any education here. Now we get the whole community involved in our project and we succeed in training the leaders of tomorrow in our local schools.
Unfortunately, the ongoing insecurity in some parts of the country makes it difficult to access certain areas and send teachers there. And we have limited financial resources, which makes it difficult to scale up our programs quickly.
Yet we do not give up: we want to ensure that every child, regardless of his or her background, has access to quality education.
For this school project, Teach for Burkina Faso receives support from 11.11.11 through the 4th Pillar operation. Thanks to this support we are stronger.
