Congo villages

Congodorpen is committed to sustainable regional development in vulnerable rural areas in the DRC and Morocco. We support communities in tackling social, economic, ecological and cultural challenges. The organisation uses an integrated approach in which multiple dimensions of regional development are pursued. For Congodorpen, this translates into 3 pillars: education, health care and agriculture. The source of projects are always the needs, aspirations and strengths of the community. In collaboration with civil society organisations in the DRC and Morocco, these are identified. But also in the planning and implementation of projects, the community is in charge of the process via established committees. Only in this way can international solidarity become sustainable. Finally, gender equality and an environmentally friendly policy are two core principles within Congodorpen.
