International solidarity is under pressure worldwide. What used to be taken for granted – care for people in need, support for those fighting injustice – is now dismissed as an unnecessary luxury. Those who show solidarity must defend themselves. Those who defend human rights are targeted. But these attacks also set something else in motion: resistance. Hope. Determination.
