Join our activist team
Are you fed up with all the injustice in the world and want to make your voice heard? Stand on the barricades together with our activists.
Together with others we say NO to exploitation. And we make noise about topics like climate, migration, international solidarity and human rights. Because that's what it's all about, right? A world where everyone counts. A world where the system is questioned. A world where power and resources are distributed fairly.
By to take action together we make the difference! Because as a group we are stronger than alone. With the activist team we want to make our voice heard to policy makers worldwide. Put pressure. Make an impressionThis way, everyone gets the chance to live a dignified life.
Not sure if you are an activist and how best to make your voice heard?
Does an activist fire burn within you and do you want to expand your knowledge with books?
IN ACTION!
International Youth Exchange
Young people from Ecuador, India, Indonesia and Belgium discussed access to nature in urban environments. We got to know each other's urban contexts, shared personal experiences and discovered how this theme affects us all. The insights from this exchange, together with the results of an earlier survey, will be bundled in a report. We will send this report to policymakers and youth workers in Brussels to call for active involvement of young people in their public space.

Europe say no! Pushbacks have to go!
At the demonstration against racism we formed a block against the pushbacks at the European borders. During an informative lunch with our migration specialist Flor Didden our fire was kindled to make a fist against these inhuman and illegal practices.

Ceasefire now!
On October 20th, we took to the streets en masse to show our solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon. Together with our poppies, we brought an unmistakable message of peace and humanity. We want to prevent war victims instead of commemorating them. Ceasefire now!

Resistance Rally
How to deal with the far right and how to respond to unwanted behavior? With these questions we got to work on our Resistance Rally, edition 2. It became a warm evening full of activism, connection and falafels!

Open the door to humanity!
A few days before the vote on June 9, 2025, we let Ghent passers-by choose. Murdered for your ideas or drowned on the run? Would you rather have PFAS in your blood or blood on your mobile phone? Or will you, like us, go all the way through the door of humanity?

Activism on track
With six activists we went to Copenhagen. We did not do this alone! With Activism on track, 60 young people from all over Europe came together to travel by train from Hamburg to Copenhagen. Here we exchanged ideas about how young people and civil society can strengthen each other in their activism. What are the barriers? What strengths should we find in each other? And how do we continue to imagine a positive, human future. In Copenhagen we participated in the Wellbeing Economy conference. Here we followed workshops and lectures about taxation, education, artivism & care as driving forces within an alternative economy.

Artivism
Connectedness, activism and lots of colour! That is how you can describe our Earth Day 2024. Together we transformed Ghent's Graffiti Street for International Earth Day. We did not do this alone, because in Peru, Indonesia and the Philippines young activists also creatively took over public places. This as a statement to draw attention to climate justice. As young people we fight together for the same goal! View all artworks on this page.

Decibels against racism
Scream against racism! With that message we collected signatures and decibels in the week of March 21, the week against racism. In Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels we collected 9.685 decibels! And also at the march against discrimination and racism we made our position clear on stage. We go for a society that builds. A society for humanity!

Smash the patriarchy
March 8th is International Woman's Day and also 11.11.11 did not let this day pass unnoticed. With a real rage room we were present at the women's march in Ghent.
Here participants could literally smash sexist slogans in our rage room. Broken electronics, an old toilet and worn out dishes were not safe and were smashed with a lot of fire. The enthusiasm was infectious and in no time at all there was nothing left of the rage room.
A successful action!

No more pushbacks
Armbands, life jackets and a banner with 'Drownings are a political choice.' On Friday 16 June, our activists took over the fountain of the Petit Sablon in Brussels following the dramatic shipwreck off the Greek coast. There, possibly 600 refugees drowned after their boat capsized. With this action, we demand attention for rescue operations, safe access routes and international research. Because a humane migration policy is possible!

I sign up!
11.11.11 takes action based on a action consensus. Are you taking action with us? Then we ask that you follow this action consensus. That way we know what to expect from each other.
