Nic Balthazar's Climate Argument
What do you mean, climate change? What is going on? What are the causes? And the consequences? What if we do nothing now? Watch 'The Climate Argument' with your students, a powerful performance in which Nic Balthazar makes you think.
The Climate Argument is a 'stand-up tragedy' by Nic Balthazar in the tradition of Al Gore's 'An Inconvenient Truth'. The television and film maker and climate activist sounds an alarm about the state of the climate and the planet, but he also gives a message of hope.
In short video reports he is supported by experts such as Jean-Pascal Van Yperzele, Jos Delbeke, Rudi Vranckx, Jill Peeters and Hans Bruyninckx. Hard facts and striking images illustrate the performance.
With his Climate Argument, Nic Balthazar wants to make clear the urgency of large-scale action. But he also wants to bring positive energy to a story that is all too often told in negative terms. Surrounded by activists, scientists, entrepreneurs, politicians and climate truants, he says what it is really about. We still have too little awareness of what we can all lose, but also of what we have to gain.
